Pathologic gait is a central part of analysis across many PT specialties, most especially ortho and neuro. Good analysis of a patient's gait can give you so much information in regards to where to focus your efforts and subsequent examination. 1 CCU 

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Gain an understanding of what neuromechanics is and how this applies to individuals with orthopedic conditions;
2. Understand how braking and propulsive impulses are associated with important neuromuscular, functional and kinematic measures;
3. Utilize knowledge of neuromechanics as a theoretical basis for developing targeted interventions aimed at improving paretic braking and paretic propulsion capability.

Todd is a physical therapist for Harris Health who specializes in the care of an underserved population in Houston, TX. Todd has been practicing 12+ years with many of those spent as a board certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. He also spends time as an adjunct professor at the Tufts University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
