This cognitive-motor based course will cover evidence based and sa fe treatment for neurologically affected patients. Dual-task training conce pts can be applied to a variety of common neurological disorders like strok e and brain injuries to enhance motor function. 1CCU

Speaker(s)Jimmy Moody, PT, NCS, CBIST has over 15 years of exper
ience as a clinician, educator and organizational leader. Mr. Moody graduat
ed as a physical therapist in 2005 and received his Neurological Specialist
certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABP
TS) in 2011. He has served as a research fellow for a biomedical engineerin
g research group, as adjunct faculty for a doctoral physical therapy progra
m, and on the district executive committee for PT governmental affairs in T
exas. He has presented to various healthcare disciplines at the local and s
tate level on assessment and treatment of the neurologically involved perso
n and continues to hold his professional membership with the APTA. Addition
ally, Mr. Moody has held his brain injury specialist certification since 20
11 and became a trainer in 2016. He currently serves on the Academy of Cert
ified Brain Injury Specialists board of Governors, Texas Brain Injury Advis
ory Council, and Education Chair for the local chapter of the American Cong
ress of Healthcare Executives. He currently serves as the CEO of PAM Health
Rehabilitation Hospital in El Paso, TX.
