Technology is everywh ere in healthcare and is rapidly expanding to all areas of patient care. Te lehealth is the use of electronic communication to remotely provide health care information and services. This 1-hour introduction to telehealth will give attendees a basic understanding of telehealth including the different models of technology, options for use in practice, practice issues addresse d by telehealth, options of types of platforms, and general rules and regul ations. This two hour course will enable the participant to understand and immediately integrate current best evidence in telehealth into clinical pra ctice. 1CCU

ealth technology used today;
3) Summarize their respective state’s Phy
sical Therapy Board Practice Act requirements to practice telehealth;

Dr. Mark Milligan, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT i
s an orthopedic manual therapist that specializes in the evaluation and tre
atment of musculoskeletal spinal conditions and is Board Certified in Ortho
paedics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
He is also certified in dry needling and in Therapeutic Pain Science. He e
arned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado, Scho
ol of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. He went on to complete an Orthopaedic P
hysical Residency and Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship with E
vidence in Motion (EIM). He is a full-time clinician and owner of Revolutio
n Human Physical Therapy and Education, a micro-education company. He is al
so a physical therapist with Encompass Home Health in Austin, Texas. Dr. Mi
lligan serves as adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
s at South College and The University of St. Augustine. Dr. Milligan is als
o primary faculty for Musculoskeletal Courses. He previously taught trigger
point dry needling courses for EIM across the country. Mark has presented
at numerous state and national conferences about dry needling and has been
published in peer reviewed journals. He is an active member of the TPTA, AP
TA, and AAOMPT and has great interest in governmental affairs.
