Currently Seeking Nominations
We are currently seeking applications and nominations for NTD Chair, Secretary, and House of Delegates District Delegate elections, to be held in October! Keep reading for more information:•

Officers for these positions are elected in odd-numbered years
•Elections will be held on-line in October
•Elected officers will officially assume their new roles in January 2022
•Elected officers will serve a two-year term, and there are no limits on the number of consecutive terms an elected officer may serve

Description of Duties:
Chair: (1) Plan the agenda for and oversee the District and EC meetings; (2) Appoint vice chair to run District and/or EC meetings if unable to attend; (3) Attend and report to the EC on Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA) Board of Directors (BOD) meetings; (4) Appoint vice chair or any other EC member to attend BOD meeting if unable to attend; (5) Act as liaison between District and TPTA by collecting pertinent information and disbursing as appropriate; (6) Initiate any communications channels regarding meeting schedule changes, District-sponsored events, legislative alerts,  TPTA Annual Conference, or any other information deemed pertinent by the chairperson; (7) Revisits bylaws with EC once annually; (8) Ensures compliance of EC members with Article 3 Section 6; (9) Replaces and takes on duties of any vacant EC or officer positions.

Secretary: (1) Prepare written agenda for EC; 2) Record minutes at EC meetings; (3) Maintain proper flow and procedure of EC and District meetings according to bylaws; (4) Read minutes of the prior EC meeting at the next EC meeting, to be approved by majority vote of the EC; (5) Maintain updated address/phone list of EC members; (6) Any correspondence for the NTD.

District Delegate: (1) Act as the District’s voice at TPTA House of Delegates.

If you would like to be added to the ballot this year, please submit a bio, telling the NTD a bit about yourself, what position you are interested in, and why (please limit to 200 words)! You may also nominate another NTD member for a given position. Please provide their name and contact information.

Once the ballot is created, you will receive a follow-up e-mail from TPTA when on-line voting is live!
