A regional workshop is being planned for the Austin, Texas, area. The work-shop will be held August 1–2, 2020 at Texas State University-Round Rock campus in Round Rock, Texas. More information will be provided to applicants upon receipt of your application and resume or CV.

Item writers support their profession by helping to ensure that candidates taking NPTE examinations receive sound, high-quality questions that reflect a broad range of practice.
Item writers participate in a training workshop that covers item-writing theory, the development of items that test higher-order thinking skills, and specific item-writing techniques.

As a small token of appreciation, the FSBPT provides a $200 stipend for completion of 20 items written and approved into the item bank.

Log onto the FSBPT web site at www.fsbpt.org and complete the application process. On the homepage, click on Volunteers, then Apply Online.
