Brief Statement: I have worked in the post-acute space since graduating from PT school; these include home health, outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care settings. I have developed a niche in working with geriatrics. I literally LOVE old people and work every day to dignify the care provided to our ladies and gentlemen by providing and promoting interventions that are evidence based along with striving to practice at the top of my license by obtaining specialty certifications and completing a residency. I have a unique opportunity to promote these best practices in my role as Vice President of Therapy Services for a large post-acute organization that includes outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care services. Being a member of APTA/TPTA has been a great way to network and find others that LOVE PT so much that their willing to fight/promote the VALUE of what we do to payers/legislators/regulators so our future colleagues can get this amazing experience as a healing Physical Therapist practitioner. I have literally met some of the best PTs in the industry through this organization and have been inspired beyond words on ways I can be a better clinician/educator/administrator. Thank you TPTA/APTA network!
